The Environmental Careers Expo is a student-led initiative hosted by the Tasmanian University Environment Society, in collaboration with several student groups and supported by the Tasmanian University Student Association (TUSA). Established in 2022, the Expo is designed to connect students across all disciplines with environmental and sustainability-focused career opportunities. What began as a Hobart-based event has expanded to Launceston, enhancing regional access and inclusivity. The Expo provides valuable networking opportunities between students and employers, strengthens student leadership and engagement, and aligns closely with UTAS’s holistic sustainability goals and reputation. Its multi-society model and adaptive structure position it as a distinctive, scalable model for student engagement and sustainable career development.
