RMIT University’s Sustainable Building Design (SBD) skill sets were developed to bridge skills gaps in sustainable design, construction, and operation across the built environment sector. Supported by the Victorian Government’s Clean Economy Workforce Capacity Building Fund, the program delivers three intensive short courses through a blend of in-person workshops, site visits, and online learning. The curriculum was co-designed with industry experts and has equipped learners—from students to seasoned professionals—with practical, future-ready sustainability skills aligned to SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
